Affligem Blonde

A very thick white head. The beer is cloudy, sort of yellow.
Smell is a bit sour with some spices.
The taste is very dry with a bit of spice, cloves I guess. Some ginger in there as well, it reminds me a bit of a Leffe Blond. Very similar tastes, not exact but similar.
It has a very dry finish and it's not bad at all but I think I prefer some of the darker Belgian beers I have tried lately.

Affligem Blonde

A very full bright white head on a cloudy yellow coloured beer.
The aroma is sweet, fruity and spicy. Feel is full but a touch watery.

Taste is cloves, vanilla and earth.
A very complex taste, the spices are up front with some fruitiness in the background and a prominent earthiness to finish off. Although the spice taste is mostly cloves there is just a hint of pepper in there as well, more a feel on the tongue than a taste.

All in all it is quite a pleasant brew, but I have had better abbey ales.
