American Style IPA (India Pale Ale).
The American style of IPA starts much as the English style except that the American style usually tends to "push the edge" and becomes much hoppier and often higher in alcohol content.
The American hops which are used also add distinctive tastes, often more fruity and citrus like than British hops.
Again, colour is usually dark golden with orange or red shades. The malt base is usually very solid to balance the bright citrus bitterness of the hops.
