Amsterdam Brewing - Big Wheel Amber

Pours a dark amber with hints of orange. A full and rocky off-white head which lasts and leaves lots of lace.
The aroma is sweet malt with hints of raisin.
Feel is nicely creamy.
Taste starts malty, bread dough and hints of berries with a light touch of citrus, finish is a mouth drying bitterness which seems just about right for balance. Some hay notes fill in the middle.
A good full flavoured amber ale, very nice on a hot day and mild enough to make a good session beer.

Zubr

Please note, This is the Polish Zubr from Dojlidy, There is a Czech beer with the same name.
A full white head on a clear amber coloured beer.
The aroma is very faint but I can detect some flowery citrus hops.
Texture is creamy and rich feeling.
The taste is quite simple but full, there is some citrus, flowery hops, and a touch of caramel.
A nice bitter hoppy finish.
As I said, this is a fairly simple blend of flavours that works very nicely together. The whole beer is simply full and pleasant.
I will buy this one again often.
