Amsterdam Brewing - Big Wheel Amber

Pours a dark amber with hints of orange. A full and rocky off-white head which lasts and leaves lots of lace.
The aroma is sweet malt with hints of raisin.
Feel is nicely creamy.
Taste starts malty, bread dough and hints of berries with a light touch of citrus, finish is a mouth drying bitterness which seems just about right for balance. Some hay notes fill in the middle.
A good full flavoured amber ale, very nice on a hot day and mild enough to make a good session beer.

Mill St. Brewing - Lemon Tea
Pours an off pink color with a short lived white head.
Very faint tea aroma but that is all I can detect. My sniffer is acting up.
A nice and full, rich, creamy mouth feel.
Zounds! This has flavor on flavor. Zesty lemon with spices and some fruit under tones. Very, very complex. I'm not the guy to try to break down all the flavors in this puppy. I'll leave that to the beer geeks. I just know that this is an excellent brew while I'm sitting here with the humidex around 130 degrees F.

Beer Quote of the day

It is my design to die in the brew-house; let ale be placed to my mouth when I am expiring, that when the choirs of angels come, they may say, "Be God propitious to this drinker."

— Saint Columbanus
