Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock
Pours very dark, almost black with a thick tan head.
Aroma of earth and some chocolate.
Rich creamy mouth feel. Almost chewable.
Alcohol is right up front with coffee and chocolate right behind. It has a crisp clean citrus finish.
The only fault I can find with this brew is the alcohol hit.
All and all 'das shmeckte'.

Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock
Pours very dark and clear garnet colour with a huge and creamy tan head.
Faint aroma of hard water and chocolate.
Feel is very rich and creamy.
Tastes are quite mild for a strong beer. Chocolate and coffee are up front with some dark berry or raisin taste in the middle. The middle is quite subdued and well blended.
The finish is lightly dry with touches of citrus. Quite a clean finish.
This is a very nice doppelbock. Very well blended and fairly mild tastes. I found no hint of the alcohol untill well after the finish and then I could notice a faint burn but only if I looked for it.
Going to pick up a few of these for the winter.
