Bacchus Flemish Old Brown

Comes in a Paper wrapped bottle, just like a Christmas present.
Pours a very dark chestnut colour with a medium sized but lasting light tan coloured head.

Aroma is somewhat sour with earth, oak, and cherry aromas coming through.
Feel is quite full and rich with a slightly thin finish.
Taste is noticeably sour but without being overpowering. Oak, earth, lemonny citrus and a touch of sour cherry.
A very pleasant beer that wold go well with a lot of different foods, pork roast comes immediately to mind but duck might be nice as well.
The finish s quite dry with a lingering sweetness. Not bad at all, in fact I like this a lot.

Beer Quote of the day

I recommend… bread, meat, vegetables and beer.

— Sophocles' philosophy of a moderate diet

(I don't care about "moderate", just give me more beer.)
