Barley Days Wind and Sail Dark Ale

I think this beer has changed. A few months ago I really don't remember all the Belgian yeast tastes that this has now.
It pours a dark red/copper colour with a thin but lasting white head.
The aroma is fairly malty but with some unexpected notes of cloves, banana and raisin.
The taste is built on roasted malt but with definite banana and clove flavours. The kind of tastes you usually find in a wheat beer. Makes it quite interesting.
The solid malt base has some nice bitter chocolate and toast flavours, the hops are quite light with only a touch of citrus. It is the clove and banana taste on top of a fairly traditional English Dark Ale which makes this beer different.
I will be looking forward to trying it again to see if it has evolved even more.

Definitely changed.

Barley Days is constantly evolving - and turning into a solid brewery.

Pours a dark red with a thin off white head.
Cloves, banana, raisins and a hint of citrus make for a lovely aroma.
Citrus, roasted malt and spices along with a creamy mouthfeel make this a joy to sip away at. It is reminiscent of a Belgian wheat with it's complex flavors.
Very, very nice. Way to go Donna and crew.
