BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Belhaven -St. Andrews Ale
St. Andrews Ale
Pours a dark copper colour with a thick and slightly tan coloured head the head is quite rocky and disappears quickly but does leave a definite lacing.
The aroma is faint, some hints of peat and citrus with a light earthiness.
The feel is medium thick and creamy, not at all watery and leaves a pleasant coating.
Taste is fairly sweet with a touch of earthiness, a sparkling carbonation tingle and a kind of citrus/floral taste. I can find a faint hint of peat in there and a very nice citrus, sparkling, clean finish. As the beer warms a hint of roasted malt becomes apparent.
This is a good session beer. I could just keep on drinking it since all the flavours and tastes are so mild and clean. The sparkling, tingling finish just begs for another one and the clean and crisp aftertaste just lead me on.
I like this as a session beer, nothing outstanding but a good solid easily drinkable beer.

Belhaven -St. Andrews Ale
Dark amber/orange colour with a big white head.
Bit of a sweet smell but that's all I can get.
Taste is full, lot's of hay and grass sweet tastes with a dry finish and some grapefruit flavours.
A lot of taste for such a low alcohol beer.
This one I could drink a lot of, beats the crap out of Canadian or Blue.
