Bornem Tripel

A white, lasting, rocky head on a well carbonated light amber coloured beer.
The aroma is of ginger, citrus, an a light alcohol smell.
A thick, full and creamy feel leads to tastes of ginger with a light sourness. There are flavours of earth and biscuit with some light honey sweetness. The taste reminds me of ginger ale with an earthy bitter finish rather than an abbey ale. Although I could smell some alcohol it did not come through in the taste.

All together this is a very smooth, nicely blended beer. From the taste you would never know that it comes in at 9% alcohol by volume. Unfortunately there is nothing to the taste which makes me desperate for more.
