Cannery Brewing - Blackberry Porter
Cannery Brewing - Blackberry Porter
Pours very dark, almost black with a good sized tan coloured head.
The aroma of berries comes through even as I pour, Blackberry is about the only aroma I can find.
Feel is nice and full, rich, a bit creamy.
Taste is full, the berries are present but not as pronounced in the taste as in the aroma, a dark chocolate and roast coffee taste dominates. A nice bit of citrus cleans up the heavy dark malt tastes and gives it a bit of brightness. It's definitely loaded with roasted grain tastes but not overpowering, and the finish is lingering citrus and berries.
I'd drink it often if I could get it.

Cannery Brewing - Blackberry Porter
Pours very dark as a porter normally does. Light brown, thick head that clings to the side of the glass.
Aroma is coffee, berries, some citrus and earthiness.
Medium mouth feel. It actually leaves a kind of muddy feeling in the mouth.
Lots of berry, some dark chocolate under tones as well as a citrus drying. Coffee is there as well. If not for the muddy feel in my mouth I would think this is a great brew but that spoils the over all experience.

very nice ,beer , with a nice
very nice ,beer , with a nice mild blackberry aftertaste, well done , would buy it more often if it wasn't a 10 mile bicycle ride , but well worth the reward back home , nice beer
Only 10 Miles?
I live in Ontario, it would take a bit of a ride for me to pick up a sixpack of it.
If I was still 20 or so it might almost be worth it.
Great review. I really like
Great review. I really like this one as well. Too bad we can't get it regularly in Ontario.
It would be really nice if we
It would be really nice if we could get as big a variety of inter-provincial beers as we can imported beers.
Ain't the Nanny State wonderful?
