BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Chapeau Exotic
Chapeau Exotic
Pours a dark yellow and slightly cloudy colour with a full and lasting white head.
Aroma is pineapple and vanilla or bubblegum. Interesting.
Feel is quite full and rich. slightly thick and a bit creamy with an immediate sour tingle on the tongue.
The taste is quite full, Pineapple and vanilla to start with a nice mouth puckering sourness which I find very refreshing. There is an earthy underlay with a light bitter flavour which I recognize but can't name. I'll work on that.
I like this one. It is a kind of treat to myself after drinking a bunch of swill all week. Good to finally try something with some depth and character to it again, and this one has both depth and character. Just wish I could put my finger on that elusive taste.

Chapeau Exotic
Pours clear golden with a short lived white head and lots of lace.
Aroma is citrus with lots of fruit notes. I'm assuming that is pineapple since that is what this is supposed to taste like.
Full, rich, creamy mouth feel.
Wow! I swished it around in my mouth and it hits like a ton of bricks. Pineapple, banana, citrus all trying to conquer my taste buds. This is one interesting brew. I love Lambic's and this one did not disappoint. I'm glad I don't have a lot of these. I'd be tempted to have a huge hangover in the morning if I did. Lots of sugar in this baby.

Elusive taste
I think I put my finger on your elusive taste. When I got close to the bottom of my glass I tasted the semi-tartness of a granny smith apple. No, wait. That's my tears because I don't have any more.
