Chimay Tripel

A very full, slightly tan coloured, long lasting head on a dark golden, slightly cloudy beer.
The aroma is of citrus, fruit, cloves and coriander while the texture is quite creamy.
Ginger, cloves, coriander and a nice bitterness come through in the taste while the finish is nicely bitter with a hint of alcohol, which you would expect from it's 8% alcohol content.
As an aftertaste you get sweetness, flowers, and citrus and quite a nice bitter bite.
This is a finely balanced and excellent beer. I will buy it again often.

Alexander Keith's Dark Ale

Very dark red with a tan head, rocky and short lived.
The aroma is so faint I have trouble finding anything. Maybe a bit of molasses and lemon with a metallic note.
Feel is only medium, it should be fuller to give this thing some body.
Taste is basically weak. A bit of sour, very faint hints of roasted malt (far to timid),maybe a light touch of flowery dry hops, again far to timid.
All in all this is basically a nothing beer.
The brewery does not have the guts to produce a beer with real taste, they hope you wont notice.
Don't bother.

Beer Quote of the day

Whiskey's too tough, Champagne costs too much, Vodka puts my mouth in gear. I hope this refrain, Will help me explain, As a matter of fact, I like beer.
