Corona Extra

I am trying this 3 ways to see if glasses are in play when drinking this beer.
It pours amber in all cases.

1. Pilsener glass: Very little aroma other than a slight skunky odor. I'm having it ice cold so there is very little flavor other than a hint of citrus and a little bit of earthy skunkyness. Very watery with no noticeable finish.

2. Chalice: Little more citrus aroma in this glass but the skunkiness still prevails. Surprisingly enough the chalice seems to make a bit of difference in the flavor. There is a bit of citrus with earthiness and a hint of spices albeit very faint. Still has no finish. I feel like I just drank a glass of water.

3. Straight from the bottle with a wedge of lime:
Aroma is of lime as is the taste. I just made limeade. This beer really has no redeeming value except as a light pounder.

I would drink this with a lime wedge if offered but I will never go purchase it. There are far too many really good beers out there for me to try and repeat on.

It is next day and Montezuma has struck. What kind of water do these people use?

My suspicions have finally been confirmed.
All of the yuppie, DINK, poser, pretender, shallow, thin, pretentious, comomiwannalayy, "look at me", stick a lime in it and I'll pay $6.00 a bottle, -30 year olds; are drinking skunky, photo degraded, "light-struck" beer.
Corona from a can tastes like .................beer.

This is pure crap. Even the lime can't save it. Why on earth did I buy this stuff at premium prices. No redeeming value at all.
If I could give this beer no stars I would!

I took up the challenge from Thirstyfirefighter to taste a Corona beer from a can. He claims it's the clear bottle that makes every Corona cry for lime. He's right! It doesn't really make a difference though. It has no head when it's poured. It has almost no aroma. It has almost no taste. It is just another mass produced piece of crap for the masses. Once again I wish I could give it no stars
Sorry Tom, I wish I could say something nice, but I can't!
Tom also is a real environmentalist. If you are invited to his cottage your beer better come in cans. Bottles don't break down as easily as cans do. It gets messy.

Beer Quote of the day

A good local pub has much in common with a church, except that a pub is warmer, and there's more conversation.

— William Blake

Not to mention the ales and beers involved.
