Dark Star Brewing - Sunburst Classic Golden Ale
Pours a slightly cloudy amber colour with a full and lasting white head.
Aroma is mild, a hint of grapefruit citrus and a sour malt aroma.
Feel is full and creamy.
Taste starts with a strong sour malt flavour, Honey and brown sugar with a bit of sourdough bread.
No real middle, but it leads directly to a lasting finish where a hint of grapefruit comes through and the sweeter flavours from the malt linger.
A bit of a different taste in this one, very British and not what we are used to but not bad at all, the strong grain and sour malt taste grow on you quickly and the whole thing is quite pleasant.
At only 4.8% you could make a good session out of this one.
