Dead Frog - Pale Ale

Clear Amber colour with a full and slightly off-white head.
Some pine and citrus in the aroma, Fairly faint.
Feel is quite rich and full, creamy even.
Taste starts with a hit of roasted malt, some chocolate flavours come through distinctly. Hints of pine and light citrus flavours which give a sparkle on the tip of the tongue.
I really wasn't expecting the roast malt tastes in a pale ale, and I expected a lot more hop bitterness. This is almost too sweet and really does not seem to fit the style. Beyond that, however, it is not a bad tasting beer at all, the aftertaste is a bit too sweet for me but it is certainly drinkable.

Beer Quote of the day

You can do anything with beer that you can do with wine. Beer is great for basting or marinating meat and fish.
