Devoid's cheatin' chili
A quick chili recipe that is tasty, tasty, tasty!
six pack of your favourite beer.
little bit of olive oil.
1 1/2 lbs (about 3/4 kilo), of lean ground beef.
1 medium onion, chopped.
chopped garlic cloves to taste.
fresh mushrooms, quartered, (quantity is up to you).
chopped celery to taste, (quantity is also up to you).
1/2 large green pepper, chopped.
2 cans, 28oz, (796ml) chopped tomatoes.
can of red kidney beans, (size of can is a matter of taste).
can of beans in tomato sauce, (size etc.).
package of your favorite chili seasoning mix.
package of your favorite spicey taco seasoning mix.
chili flakes.
sugar (only use to cut the acidity from the tomatoes).
any other spices that you'd like to add is up to you.
In a large pot, brown onions and garlic in olive oil.
Add lean ground beef and brown, (shouldn't have too much excess fat if it's good lean beef).
Add tomatoes, mushrooms, celery, green peppers, packaged mixes.
Add 1/2 bottle of beer drink other half.
Simmer until veggies are tender.
Taste, and add chili flakes, sugar or any spices you like to your taste.
Drain kidney beans and add.
Add can of beans in tomato sauce.
Simmer 20 more minutes and serve with some nice bread of your choice.
You have 5 bottles of beer left. you know what to do!
