Doppel-Hirsch
A thin off-white head which disappears to nothing almost instantly. The beer itself is a very dark garnet colour, clear and light passes though barely.
Not much aroma to speak of, maybe a bit of earth and some bitter chocolate smells. Very subdued.
The feel is quite rich, creamy and full and makes up for a lot of the lack of aroma.
The tastes make up for the rest of the lack of aroma.
It starts with raisins and dark berries followed by some mild bitter chocolate tastes and lingers on with a light and refreshing apple citrus taste. The finish is bright enough to make this taste like a lively beer without the roasted malt flavours taking command.
A very nice and different blend of tastes here and they all fit and meld together very well.
I will be looking for more of this one.

Deep red color with a thin head and strong lace. Very clear with few carbonation bubbles.
Earthy aroma but not much else.
Full creamy mouth feel.
Very complex flavors here. Fruit and berries with some earthiness as well as a bit of chocolate. This is very nicely blended flavor wise.
I like this a lot and could get addicted to it. I wish I had more.

This is kind of fun. Just told my GF I have to drink beer so I can write about it on beertaster. She Bought it! Got a feeling it wont last.
Anyway, this looked really neat when I poured it. The head on top (not quite white, maybe a light tan?) and right below it this cloud of bubbles coming up. The swing top bottle is kind of neat too.
I can't smell much in this one. Maybe a bit of chocolate or something.
It feels really full in the mouth. Like you want to chew it almost.
It tastes like some bitter chocolate drinks. There is some kind of fruit. Maybe raisins? and another citrus taste. Like the last one, I don't know what citrus fruit it tastes like. But it's good. Stays in your mouth for a while after you drink it.
I think this is one of my favorites so far. I got to drink a lot more beer.

Good luck with the Girl Friend!
Your best bet is to get her interested in good beer too.
Find something she likes to get started and then see if she is willing to try different beers.
It will work a lot better and a lot longer than trying to con her.
