Dos Equis Lager Especial (Special)

A pale straw colour, your basic lager colour. With a vigorous pour I got a full but very short lived white head.
The aroma is very faint, Some metallic smells like copper.
Feel is only slightly creamy, too much toward the watery side.
Taste is pure mainstream, some corn and some metallic tastes. A very faint hint of citrus and perhaps just a hint of bread.
The finish is relatively dry but there is nothing memorable about this beer at all, any mainstream is comparable.

Just another lawnmower beer.

Christoffel Dry Hopped Nobel

Very cloudy pale orange color with a thick white clumpy head that lasts and lasts.
Aroma is citrus, some berries and earth with a bit of sourness.
Very rich creamy mouth feel.
Instant grapefruit hit followed by some earthiness and a hint of banana and some orange pith bitterness. As it warms it gains in complexity. The grapefruit is still there but now I'm getting some more earth and a kind of clover honey aftertaste. The finish is a definite hop dryness that just begs for more.
Excellent brew this.

Beer Quote of the day

Why is American beer served cold? So you can tell it from urine.

(Not true anymore, thankfully.)
