Driftwood Brewing - Driftwood Ale

Cloudy amber with a medium white head and lasting lace.
Floral and earthy aroma with a hint of citrus.
Full creamy mouth feel.
Mostly grapefruit in flavor which over powers the mild honey sweetness. Still and all it does have some complexity.

Driftwood Brewing - Driftwood Ale

Pours a cloudy amber with a full off-white head.
Aroma is faint but I could pick out some fruit and faint floral and sugar notes.
The taste was much better than the aroma led me to expect. It was quite full and complex with nothing overpowering. Citrus hop flavours came through first followed by fruit and white sugar tastes some light banana and a touch of earthiness finished it off.
All and all it was a very pleasant and easy drinking beer with more than enough complexity and variety of tastes to make it worth while.
If they ever have it on tap at a local pub I would grab it in a heart beat.

Beer Quote of the day

I simply went down there to catch up with an old mate of mine, who owns the place. He's the one who wrote the book on the place, but no, no movie, just a beer.

— Bryan Brown

A great Aussie actor and beer. That says it all.
