BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Dutch Amber Lager
Dutch Amber Lager
A light white head composed of coarse bubbles which were quickly gone leaving only a thin ring.
The beer is a dark amber colour, tending toward copper. The aroma is quite thin with hints of berry, earth and biscuit.
The taste is of citrus off the top with some earthy biscuit hints. There is a caramel/burnt coffee taste in the middle.
The feel is quite thin and watery, and the finish is quite a mouth drying lager style bitterness with a hint of nuts and berry.
It's a lot better than most mainstream lagers but not exceptional.
I will buy it again occasionally in warm weather, and would never refuse it if served, but I wont go out of my way to find it.

Christoffel Dry Hopped Nobel
Very cloudy pale orange color with a thick white clumpy head that lasts and lasts.
Aroma is citrus, some berries and earth with a bit of sourness.
Very rich creamy mouth feel.
Instant grapefruit hit followed by some earthiness and a hint of banana and some orange pith bitterness. As it warms it gains in complexity. The grapefruit is still there but now I'm getting some more earth and a kind of clover honey aftertaste. The finish is a definite hop dryness that just begs for more.
Excellent brew this.
