BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Eggenberg Doppelbock Dunkel
Eggenberg Doppelbock Dunkel
A thin off white head which quickly reduced to a lasting ring of lace. The pour is a dark garnet colour, lots of brown, amber and reds.
The aroma is fairly subdued, there was some toast and biscuit, a hint of berry and raisin with the aroma of alcohol over the top.
This beer feels very thick and creamy which is quite nice.
The tastes are of berries, raisins and toast. The alcohol comes through noticeably.
There is lots of roasted barley taste in this brew with hints of coffee and chocolate well below the surface. The finish is very light and refreshing with a light sparkle and just a hint of grass coming through right at the end.
All in all this is a very nice full brew.

Eggenberg Doppelbock Dunkel
Pours brown with a rapidly disappearing head but a strong long lasting lace.
Berry, bread and alcohol are the predominant aromas.
Creamy mouth feel with chocolate, berries and mostly alcohol make this an interesting beer. It finishes with a carbonation tingle made even stronger by the citrus flavors that come through.
