Fuller's 2009 Vintage Ale

Pours a clear dark amber with a huge, rocky, light tan coloured head.
Aroma is fairly mild, some grass and old hay with some sweeter fruit notes, dates or raisins or something. Too faint for me to be sure of.
Feel is lovely and creamy, quite smooth.
Taste are much more pronounced than the aroma suggested. Lot's of dark fruit, dates, blackberries and raisins. The grass and old hay tastes are there but subtle, and there is a very nice floral hop taste which fills in the base.
The alcohol taste comes through but is mild enough to be pleasant and the fairly dry finish wraps this up nicely.
I keep intending to store a few of these but I always drink them instead. Someday it would be good to have a collection of different vintages to compare.
