Granville Island - Brockton IPA
Granville Island - Brockton IPA
Pours a clear and well carbonated dark amber colour with a thick, rocky, and lasting white head.
The aroma is mostly pine and grapefruit but with a fairly strong hay or grass scent.
Feel is nicely full and creamy.
Taste starts with the pine and grapefruit hop attributes I expect from the American IPA style but the grass, honey and fresh hay tastes which follow are much more English and Canadian trademarks in this beer.
The blend is a lot fuller and while there is a definite hop-head start the fuller malty middle is a nice change. It makes the whole taste balance different and the finish is a nice blend of the two, neither the hops nor the malt tend to overwhelm.
I like this one a lot.
