Orange Peel Ale
A thin white head which leaves an even thinner cap.
The beer is a slightly cloudy amber/orange colour, quite appealing.
I didn't find much aroma, just a light orange citrus hint.
The taste is quite citrusy but not particularly orange. There is some honey, earth, and biscuit.
It leaves a clean citrus feel in the mouth but still nothing distinctly orange.
I didn't find what I expected but nevertheless it is still a very nice taste experience.
I did find it slightly watery but I will try this one again, I feel like it holds promise that the bottle I had just didn't quite live up to.

Wow it's still good

We just visited Great Lakes Brewery and I picked up some more of the Orange Peel Ale. Still the same, still great!
Thanks Great Lakes for some good brews!

Orange Peel Ale

Thick clumpy off white head. Color is a cloudy pinkish orange.
A very slight sweet aroma, maybe citrus, maybe fruit it's hard to tell.
It has a very nice citrus tang with a pleasant creaminess in the middle and a fairly clean fruity, hoppy finish.
This would definitely compliment a mild white fleshed fish.
I could handle a couple of these after work and still enjoy one with dinner.

We are strong supporters of Ontario Craft Brewers. Ask for them at your local LCBO or Beer Store in Ontario or better yet, visit one or all of their breweries. You will be glad you did.

Orange Peel Ale

A full and slightly off-white head but it disappears pretty quick. It leaves a thin lumpy cap.
The colour is a kind of orange/amber.
Smell seems to have some spice (pepper) and some citrus.
Taste has a hint of orange marmalade, and some bright grapefruit citrus. There is some honey sweet taste and a bit of pine or something.
It is a very bright tasting beer which goes really well on a hot day.

Great Lakes Brewery - Orange Peel Ale 2011

Pinkish amber color with a thick white head and a clinging lace.
Aroma is very slight. Just a hint of citrus.
Mouth feel is fairly thin with a touch of creaminess.
This is all about the citrus tang. It's very pleasant, crisp and clean. I really like this.
Great Lakes is a very consistent brewery. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. Amen to that.
