Griffon Rousse (Red ale)

Dark red color with an off white head.
Lace lingers.
The nose is reminiscent of over ripe citrus of some kind.
Creamy, nutty, coffee like taste to start. Citrus middle with a hint of chocolate. Finishes with a creamy bitterness that dries the mouth slightly and begs for another.
To me this is a sipping beer. I savored every mouthful. Great stuff.

Griffon Rousse (Red ale)

A full, off-white head on a deep reddish brown beer.
An aroma of sweet malt with a touch of citrus and a bit of nuts and earth.
A smooth creamy texture, sweet tangy taste with a bit of nuts and a hint of coffee. The nuts and sweet coffee predominate.
The finish is a nice bright, but quiet, citrus tang.
The beer is not over-carbonated and has a very smooth blend. It goes down very smoothly and, perhaps too quickly.
The citrus tang lasts quite a while and is very pleasant while the coffee flavour becomes a bit more pronounced as it warms.

I will buy this one again often.
