BEER is GOOD!

Malty, aromatic beers. Belgian ales rank high on my list.
Here we go again!
The Beer Store is going to revamp it's stores. They call it the 'Beer Boutique'. So what does this mean? Absolutely nothing! The look will change but the bottom line remains the same. The big three still control everything so any good beers will be buried at the back as usual. It's almost enough to make a grown man cry. No, it is enough to make a grown man cry. I buy almost all my beers from the L.C.B.O. and local craft brewers and some restaurants that carry kegs of brews that I can't get anywhere else. The Beer Store is handy for taking back my empties. What a waste of space. If you are a beer lover and have to go to the Beer Store, do yourself a favor and wander down to the back. That is where all the good or at least drinkable beers are hidden. I am totally disgusted with this outlet. They are losing some of their clientel to other outlets that provide good beer so this is just an attempt to try to get back the market share that they mistakenly believe is theirs. How about brewing something good or interesting. That might just bring the sheep back into the fold.

Re-Beer Boutique
Hi John. There is only one beer store left in Peterborough where you can wander down to the back. All the rest have only "pics" on the wall where you take your empties back. When I rarely go there, I get in everyone's way. Nice way to get people to buy a "regular" brand. Boutique? BS isn't short for Beer Store.
Beer Boutique
Nice to hear from you Chris.
Does your local LCBO's have a nice variety of good beers? Like I said that is where I do most of my shopping.
From were you are is a day trip to Ottawa. Cross over to Gatineau and visit a place called Brou Ha Ha. You will be amazed at the selection there. Tell Gilles that John and Bruce from Beertaster sent you.
His email is gpommet@gmail.com I'm sure He'll be glad to give you directions.
My wife has relatives in
My wife has relatives in Ottawa. Yes, we do go to Gatineau for beer. I don't remember the name of it, but it is packed with a ton of Quebec microbrews. I bought a 12 pack of stout ( can't remember the name ) for $15.00. I think I pay that for Ontario beer, but you ONLY get 6. I'll check out Brou Ha Ha this summer. Our local LCBO has a good selection of microbrews. Finally, they are getting it.
Cheers,
Chris
