Malty, aromatic beers. Belgian ales rank high on my list.

Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Brew
Tan colored head on a reddish pink beer with just a little head and lots of lace after.
A sweet aroma. Some honey and spice with of course ginger.
Rich creamy mouth feel.
I can certainly taste the alcohol but it has a sweetness that cancels that out right away. There is citrus and a honey like sweetness with ginger creeping through. This is nice. Very refreshing. The first good brew I've ever had from Japan.

Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Brew
A fairly thick, rocky, tan coloured head, lasts quite well. A dark copper and slightly cloudy beer.
Aroma of dough, herbs, and some ginger.
Feel is quite full and creamy.
Taste starts with lot's of bready malt, then some light spicyness and ginger begin to come through. The nicest part of this beer is the clean bitter finish with the lingering light ginger tastes.
I was worried that the ginger would overpower the rest of the beer but it doesn't, instead it leaves that nice crisp finish which is great on a hot day and just calls out for more. It IS 7% so you need to be a bit careful with it but I will be picking up a few more this week.
