BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Hockley Valley Dark
Hockley Valley Dark
Pours a very dark almost black colour with a full tan coloured head which quickly dissipates.
The aroma is a bit of citrus, berry (maybe black currant) and chocolate.
The taste is a bit of citrus, a light sweetness, with hints of molasses, black currant, and toasted coffee.
It was a bit too cold when we started the tasting but this beer improved as it warmed a bit.
Overall, this beer has a great blend of tastes. Nothing overwhelms and it all seems to "just fit".
I'll be buying this one again often.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
