Malty, aromatic beers. Belgian ales rank high on my list.

Dark red colored beer with no head to speak of.
The aroma is coffee and burnt malt.
Mouth feel is quite creamy and coats the mouth nicely.
First taste is earthy with chocolate, coffee and just a hint of citrus. Middle is that nice creaminess with the citrus pushing its way a little closer to the front but the coffee and chocolate still prevail. It finishes in a sparkling citrus manner with the alcohol being a little more noticeable.
This is fairly nice and I could handle a couple or three of these quite easily.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.

Definitely my favorite beer of the moment. Especially as Winter is approaching....the dark beers become more enjoyable, very enjoyable.... Another fine beer for those of you who are paying attention....Keiths limited time "Harvest" beer. Very similar to HFB. Can't decide which is better....
Decent beer
There is a lot more to this beer than I was expecting.
Lot's of flavour at a decent price.
I'd like to see more beer like this.
