Holsten Premium Lager

A yellow beer with a very thin short lived white head.
The aroma is very faint, perhaps a bit earthy but not much else.

Feel is fairly thin, maybe just a bit creamy.
Earthy tastes, some honey and a light bitterness. A hint of flowers ans some faint dough tastes.

Not much to this one, a bit more taste than North American mainstream and I like the earthy undertones but I certainly wont go looking for this again.

Le Grimoire - La Vie de Château

Pours clear dark amber with a medium, creamy, off-white head which hangs around for a long while and leaves some nice lacing.
Aroma of dark, sweet rum.
Feel is very rich and creamy, very nice.
Taste is vanilla, cream, raisins and faint rum. A light citrus finish brightens it all up.
This is a good one, in many ways it reminds me of a milk stout but without the roasted grain profile. The vanilla is most noticeable and when added to the creamy feel it reminds me of a milk shake but with the added rum tastes.
Going to have to get more of this one.

Beer Quote of the day

Beer is the Danish national drink, and the Danish national weakness is another beer.

— Clementine Paddleford

(I've had their Faxe beer. Their national pass time should be laying down!)
