BEER is GOOD!

Howe Sound Timberline Pale Ale
Howe Sound Timberline Pale Ale
A thick, coarse, slightly off-white and lasting head on a beautiful cloudy orange/amber coloured brew.
The aroma is bright citrus and nuts. A light sour aroma is present as the beer warms slightly.
The feel is full, sparkling but creamy and rounded. A real ale feel which I seldom get from lagers.
The tastes are great, nothing overpowering but lots of different flavours blending together.
There is a lot of hops here as should be true of an IPA, they are largely grapefruit citrus tasting with some fresh cut grass flavours as well. A nutty background taste with a solid biscuit base for the hops to work off of sits nicely in the background along with a touch of syrupy sweetness.
The aftertaste is dry and sparkling from the bittering hops and makes a very pleasant finish to each mouthful of the beer.
A real nice interpretation of an American Style India Pale Ale, This one is not nearly as overpowering as some and makes a beer I could drink on a regular basis.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
