Innis & Gunn - Highland Cask
Pours a clear dark copper colour with a thin and short lived white head.
The aroma is all about caramel, A bit of a sour mash aroma and that's about it.
Feel is rich and creamy.
Taste starts with a big buttery caramel hit, Some brown sugar and honey with hints of grass or hay. A light citrus bitterness follows but it's not strong enough to offset the sweet start.
I found the finish too sweet and cloying for me but there is a lot of taste to this and I can certainly understand why some people just love this one.
Just not my style I guess.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
