BEER is GOOD!

Innis & Gunn Rum Cask
A thick and rocky light tan coloured head on a very dark, clear, red/brown coloured beer.
The aroma is carbonated like champaign and light, not weak but light or bright smelling. There is some ginger and some malty sweetness.
Feel is creamy but also well carbonated and sparkling.
Taste is ginger ale like with some berry, fruit, chocolate and honey but is very sparkling. Not nearly as sweet as their regular brew. There is a faint oak tannin taste and just a hint of rum. The finish is a bit astringent from the oak but not overwhelming, the light ginger and sparkling tastes balance the tannins nicely.
I much prefer this over their regular offering which I find too sweet and cloying. This one tastes light and bright and pleasant overall.
I like it.

Innis & Gunn Rum Cask
Dark red in color with almost no head and just a hint of lace.
Spice, vanilla and alcohol aroma with just a hint of dough underlying it all.
Vanilla, caramel and fruit along with alcohol are the first to hit the taste buds, and a slight sourness middle with a carbonated spice finish.
This is a nice beer but 3 or 4 would do me in.
