Pours clear amber with a decent white head. The head disappears fairly quickly and leaves a fair lace.
When first poured I got a definite wine aroma which quickly vanished and was replaced by Very bright fruit and spice aroma, Cardamom and Coriander.
Feel is nice and rich, quite creamy.
Tastes are all quite dry. Fruit and a white wine taste along with hints of the spices, a touch sour and even a bit of black pepper in the finish.
The start is the fruity wine flavour while the Cardamom and Coriander take over the middle. The finish is sour, dry and a bit peppery.
A very nice beer. Not a pounder but something I can really enjoy over time or with a meal.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
