BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Kells Irish style Lager
Kells Irish style Lager
A thick bright white and long lasting head. The beer is a slightly dark amber colour with lots of carbonation bubble.
Aroma is faint, some sweet malt aromas with a hint of earth.
Feel is nicely creamy and full,
Tastes are largely malt with some honey notes. The slightly earthy and citrus hops tastes come through mostly in the finish and leave a nice tingle on the tongue.
The hop citrus taste is somewhat similar to cider but the malt sweetness is predominant. No way you would mistake this for a cider.
I like this. It is not pretentious at all and has a lot more taste than any mainstream lager. I'm not sure how "Irish" the style is (not very I suspect) but it is not bad at all.
