Kichesippi Pale Ale

Amber color with a thin white head.
No aroma. The room smelled like a urinal hockey puck.
Medium mouth feel.
Earthy with a bitter hop taste to start. Slight hint of citrus in the background. Grapefruit citrus comes on strong as it warms.
I'd like to try this under different circumstances.

Kichesippi Pale Ale

Had a bit of a problem tasting this beer properly, the tavern smelled very strongly of deodorizer and made it tough to smell and taste the beer.

It poured a medium dark amber with a thick white head.
I couldn't get any aroma from it.
Feel was smooth and creamy.
Taste started with a solid doughy malt base with touches of caramel then moved into an earthy light bitter hop profile and finished with mild grapefruit tastes.
As the beer warmed slightly (or I got used to the deodorizer) the earthy flavours fadded and were replace by more grapefruit and orange tastes.
I may not be fair to this beer, I'd like to try it again sometime under better conditions.

Beer Quote of the day

In my opinion, most of the great men of the past were only there for the beer - the wealth, prestige and grandeur that went with the power.

— A. J. P. Taylor

(Drink enough beer and you think you have wealth, prestige and grandeur. Mostly the grandeur, or delusions there of!)
