BEER is GOOD!

K.L.B Raspberry Wheat
It pours a very dark amber/orange colour, Might be slightly toward the red end of the colour chart but not much. The head is very thin, white and disappears instantly.
Aroma is raspberry and a deep sourness which reminds me of canning jams when I was a kid, I'm far too lazy now.
The feel is only moderately full, there is a sense of wateriness but there is also a creaminess, I know that really contradicts but it is the best I can do.
The tastes are lovely, a lot of raspberry preserves but with a definite hop dryness near the end which makes it a beer and an assertive one at that.
Very little of the sweet malt tastes come through but a lot of the sweet berry tastes take their place, there is just a hint of honey which could be the raspberries again, and a very interesting finish.
The finish lasts a long time and has it's own flavour profile, starting with a very dry astringent taste of hops and tannin, and then becoming sweet like a berry jam or preserve.
This is definitely a warm weather beer, and is almost a dessert beer. If the pie you are eating is too sweet, try one of these to finish off without hurting the pie.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
