Lake of Bays - Pale Ale

Pours a clear golden colour with a thick, off-white head. The head reduces to a ring and cap and leaves a good lacing on the glass.
Aroma is quite malty, caramel and honey.
Feel is nice and full, creamy and rich.
Taste has a strong malt base with touches of caramel and honey and then a very nice grapefruit citrus hop profile takes over. A nice bitterness in the finish with a lingering blend of sweet and citrus tastes.
This is a good addition to the Ontario craft brew scene. A well crafted pale ale with a British malt profile and an American hop profile. It won't be a 'hophead' favourite but it is a good blend of tastes with enough of a hop presence to make itself known.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.

From man's sweat and God's love, beer came into the world.
