BEER is GOOD!

Leffe Brune
A very thick, rocky, slightly off-white head on a dark, clear red/brown coloured brew.
The aroma is of chocolate with some cloves and a light sourness.
Feel is fairly thick and creamy but not as full as I was expecting.
The tastes are well spiced with a clove taste up front. There is a light bitter chocolate taste which is mostly buried by a very nice berry flavour, The berries have a light citrus taste and make the beer quite well rounded.
The aftertaste is a bit sweet and contains a lingering dry bitterness with more dark berry tastes and it lasts quite nicely. The clove tastes start the whole thing but then fade into the background quickly.
I am planning a simple chicken dinner tonight and I think the fairly subdued tastes of this beer will compliment it nicely.
I'll be buying this beer again from time to time.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
