Les Freres Houblon - Fontaine du Diable
Pours very dark with a thin tan head.
Aroma is earth, chocolate, smoke, coffee and a hint of cherry.
Full rich creamy mouth feel.
Choclate, berries and smoke give it a nice start, with a drying in the middle but the finish is all alcohol.
At my first sip I thought this is wonderful but the alcohol put a bit of a damper on my rating. I like alcohol mind you but I also want the taste of the beer to be foremost.
Still pretty good stuff.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
