Les Freres Houblon - La Brunante
Pours a slightly cloudy brown/orange with a fairly thick, rocky off-white head which hung around for a while.
Aroma is mostly lemon and grapefruit with some burnt coffee thrown in.
Feel may be a bit on the thin style for a Scottish Ale but is reasonably creamy and full.
Tastes show the traditional butterscotch and roasted grain of the style but there is a more noticeable citrus flavour than is normal. Frankly I like it better this way, it's not as sweet and cloying as many versions I have tried and the citrus gives it a clean and refreshing finish which makes you want more.
I really like this beer, it's heavy enough to enjoy in the colder months and still bright enough to enjoy in today's heat and humidity.
Wish I could get this closer to home.

Les Freres Houblon - La Brunante
Pours a deep red with a thick, clumpy tan head.
The aroma is citrus, coffee and a hint of dark chocolate.
Medium mouth feel. It could be just a touch thicker and creamier.
Lots of citrus make this a refreshing brew. It has chocolate and coffee as well as some caramel tones. I like the sparkling finish on this.
