Lindemans - Cuvée René Gueuze Lambic
Pours a slightly cloudy pale amber with a full but fairly short lived white head.
Aroma is slightly sour and fruity, like fermenting apples or pears with touches of spice.
Feel is quite full and creamy.
Taste is a sour and bitter start, lot's of fruit underneath. The taste makes me think of the smell of stored hay and silage from my visits to friends farms. The overall taste is quite tart and it lingers into a fairly dry finish.
It's a completely different tasting beer and really takes some getting used to but it is worth it in the end.
That fist sip is a bit shocking if you have never tried a Gueuze before, but that's what Lambic beers are all about. This one is probably more "traditional" than most we have seen in Ontario.
It took me a few sips to get onto it but when I did I wanted more. I could get used to this in a hurry.
This is a blistering hot and humid day here and I find this to be one of the most refreshing drinks I can think of.

Hitachino Nest White Ale A pale yellow color with a clumpy but short lived head. Spices and banana are all I can detect in the aroma. Full rich creamy mouth feel. This is nice. Lots of spice and banana with some hints of pepper. Easy drinking but also very flavorfull. I wish I had more but alas that is not to be with Japan still in shambles.
