Sinha Stout
The Label calls this an "Extra Strong Stout", to me that means an Imperial stout but we'll see how it stacks up.
The pour is thick, rich and creamy looking with a huge and rocky light brown coloured head. The head settles down to a thick, coarse and rocky cap fairly quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
The aroma is quite interesting, some chocolate, roasted coffee, toast and a hint of sulphur.
Feel is very rich and creamy, quite thick on the tongue and a bit drying.
Tastes are all about the roasted malts, just as they should be. There are lot's of coffee and chocolate tastes with some nice toasted bread flavours. A light citrus hop sparkle comes in to keep it light and tasty. Bits of raisin and date are hidden away in there along with a cream taste.
The finish is moderately dry with lingering coffee/chocolate tastes.
Very pleasant, I like this one, especially on a cold, rainy, damp day like today. I think this would be a great one at the ski lodge in front of a roaring fire while a beef stew simmers in the back.
Going to watch for more of these.
By the way, I still think it is an Imperial Stout.
