This was a pretty good pairing, the strong citrus in the beer blends fairly well with the sharp flavours of the cheese.
The cheese flavours mellow a bit and sweetens the bitter citrus from the beer. The sharpness and creamy flavour of the cheese tends to clean up the mushroom earthiness in the aftertaste of the beer.
