Matt Brewing - Saranac Pale Ale
Matt Brewing - Saranac Pale Ale
Pours a clear dark copper colour with a creamy, short lived, off-white head.
Aroma of dark berries and faint cherries.
Feel is quite full and creamy with a carbonation tingle.
Taste starts with raisins, dates and berries. Some honey and grass come through followed by a moderately citrus and flowery bitterness.
Not bad at all and a decent session beer but nothing spectacular either, maybe a little too sweet. The label lists the hops as 'Kent Golding' and 'Fuggles' but there seemed to be a more pronounced citrus taste than I usually find from these hops.
Still an easy drinking beer and not bad for an evening out.

Matt Brewing - Saranac Pale Ale
Pours a dark red color with a white head that dissapates very quickly but leaves a thick lace coating in the glass.
Slight fruity aroma. Possibly cherry or berry. Hard to tell.
Nice creamy mouth feel. I like this already.
Sweet tastes. Berries and fruit. Easy to drink. $13.00 a six. It's good but not that good. I can get home grown for less and most U.S. imports for less as well. Still and all a very nice brew.
