Mill St. Brewing - Schleimhammer Roggenbier

Pours a cloudy coppery brown with a thick smooth tan head. Leves a good lace.
Aroma is fairly faint, fruit and bubblegum with a hint of sulphur.
Feel is quite full and rich.
Tastes are very nice, some fruit up front, plums and raisins, hints of pear and maybe peach. Banana follows along with a sourdough taste, some rye bread flavours are in there along with just a hint of toasted grain.
The finish is crisp and fairly dry. It calls out for another one.
A darn good rye beer, I hope it is available for a good long while.

I liked this one as well.

I liked this one as well. but I am just not a huge fan of Rye beer in general. I like that they are experimenting though!

I couldn't agree more about

I couldn't agree more about the experimenting, as a whole Ontario Craft beers are fairly conservative. I'd like to see a bunch more "over the top" examples in Ontario.

Beer Quote of the day

I'd like us to deliver a little message to all the men still out there who think it's the '50s, and coming home simply means watching television with a beer.
