Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale

A light coppery coloured beer with a full, coarse, short lived white head.
The aroma is of citrus, earth and a bit of must which strengthens as the beer warms.
Mouthfeel is slightly thin and watery while the tastes tend to follow the aroma. There is a grapefruit citrus bitterness at the top with an earthy, biscuit and berry bottom. Hints of honey show up in the lingering after-taste along with a pronounced earthiness.

This ale is mostly in the name, the feel is a bit to thin and although it has much more taste than a mainstream lager it doesn't hold up to good British ales. At only 4.7% alcohol by volume it does make a good session ale.

Beer Quote of the day

There were years when I was a beer and tequila guy, then I got real fat. And then I found that you could actually go on a diet and drink scotch.
