Muskoka Double Chocolate Cranberry Stout - 2010

Pours absolutely black with a huge tan coloured head that lasts a good long while.
Aroma of chocolate, a faint hint of berries and maybe a touch of vanilla.
Feel is very full, rich and creamy.
Taste starts with a full hit of dark chocolate, a light berry citrus comes in next, hints of vanilla and coffee fit in there as well.
The finish is a lot cleaner than the slightly sweet start leads you to believe. A good balance of bitterness. The whole blend of tastes is very well done and makes this an easy drinking beer. No hint of the alcohol comes through in the flavour and I want to drink this all evening. Especially since we are in an early winter deepfreeze with way too much snow blowing around. This is a great winter warmer.

Beer Quote of the day

A woman drove me to drink and I didn't even have the decency to thank her.

(I thanked her. I hope she's enjoying the house, the boat, the car, and the money!)
