Neustadt Scottish Pale Ale

This is a true malty English or Scottish style ale.
The beer itself is very cloudy and a rich amber colour, it's head is fairly thin, white, rocky and very long lasting.
The aroma is very sweet, lots of biscuit and dough smells with hints of earth and molasses.
It's feel is very thick, round, creamy and full and the taste lives up to the feel.
This one is all about the malt tastes, lots of biscuit and honey with maple syrup and nuts, the earthiness is right there and then comes the grapefruit citrus hop taste. The whole thing finishes with a mouth clearing citrus sparkle which leaves me wanting more.

The malt is always out front with this ale, it is very sweet and biscuity below but there is just enough hop tingle to keep it lively and interesting.
I could put back a lot of these which makes it a good session beer and a good learning experience for someone who wants to find out what a full malt taste is like.

Neustadt Scottish Pale Ale

Dark cloudy amber with a thin white head.
Slightly sweet malt and earth aroma with a hint of citrus.
Very sweet and creamy. It has a honey sweetness that lingers on the lips and tongue with just the right amount of citrus to keep this beer from cloying. As it warms the earthiness really becomes much more prominent.

We are strong supporters of Ontario Craft Brewers. Ask for them at your local L.C.B.O. in Ontario or better yet, visit one or all of their breweries. You will be glad you did.

Beer Quote of the day

No soldier can fight unless he is properly fed on beef and beer.

— John Churchill

(I don't care if it's fried eggs, quiche, or cornflakes, as long as it comes with beer.)
