Nickel Brook - Premium Organic Lager

Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber with a full rocky white head.
Aroma is fairly mild but full of malt.
Feel is quite rich and creamy.
Taste is great, lots of doughy malt base with honey and syrup tastes, then the hops hit. More than usual bittering from the hops make your mouth water. Some apple citrus tastes and a long lasting palate clearing, sparkling finish.
I really like the blend of tastes in here plus the fact that this lager has enough bitter hops to notice, a fairly rare thing in a lager.
A great summertime beer. Bet it would be good with a grilled pork chop.

Muskoka Summer Weiss

A cloudy yellow with a full, creamy, white head.
An aroma of fruit, dark berries and hints of banana or vanilla.
The feel is full and creamy.
Taste is very complex, lots of berry flavours at the bottom with a bright light lemon citrus top. Vanilla and banana come through strongly and make a pleasant lingering finish.
I could drink a lot of these, they make a great summer session beer.

Beer Quote of the day

The more macho the bar, the wimpier the beer.

— Michael Jackson

(I'll have another barkeep, but make it a REAL beer this time.)
