A full, long lasting, slightly off white head on a dark amber/red coloured beer.
Faint aromas of biscuit and peppery spice with hints of earth, berry, and mold or yeast.
The feel is thick, rich, creamy and well rounded.
All the tastes are subdued but full and rich, some berry citrus and mild honey flavours on a biscuity base with nice earthy overtones.
This blends together nicely to give a great pleasing taste with a crisp clean finish of citrus.

I found this one tastes best when very cold which I should have guessed from the brewing process.

When I drank this I kept thinking about how well it would go with light flavoured seafood or mild cheeses. I am going to save a few for my next seafood meal.

Beer Quote of the day

I've often been asked what do you do now that you're retired?

Well, I don't have much of a chemical background but one of the things I enjoy the most is turning beer into urine!

— My brother-in-law Al.
